LPAC Assistant Clerk

Paraprofessional/Clerical 3
Primary Purpose:
Assist LPAC Coordinators and teachers of English learners in the Language Proficiency Assessment
Committee in the areas of preparation, management, and instruction.
Support, assist and administer clerical duties as assigned.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Educational Aide certification
Proficient in English and Spanish (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking)
Experience:
Some experience working with students
Some experience working with Bilingual/ESL programs
Some experience communicating with parents
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop reports
Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written/oral instruction
Ability to work well with children
Ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge of the Bilingual/ESL guidelines
Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
Maintain student confidentiality
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise students when working with students or otherwise requested
