Job DescriptionJob Summary: Accountable on a 24-hour basis for the daily management and quality of care for assigned patient population. Provides leadership, collaborates and communicates inter/intra departmentally to promote a world class environment. Professional Standards Monitors resources required to implement the unit patient care delivery model for maintaining high level patient and family satisfaction and outcomes. Assists with development, monitoring and achievement of budget and unit objectives in alignment with the hospital strategic plan. Facilitates resolution or management of customer issues/concerns/comments. Participates as a member of the Nursing Leadership team on assigned committees, teams and meetings. Pursue lifelong education, current on professional changes and best practices within the healthcare system. Maintains productivity goals established. Provides assurance that the technical proficiency and educational background of the staff is maintained for the work performed. Approves payroll and manages daily and on call schedule. Monitors quality measures and PI for department. Secondary Job Duties: 1. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.Minimum Qualifications:EducationGraduate from an accredited school of nursing; bachelor's degree in nursing and certification is required within one year of employment. MSN preferred.
