Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced

Director of Quality Assurance

to lead and drive the quality strategy for an industry-leading food manufacturing company. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance across all operations. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Quality Assurance will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that uphold our commitment to quality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with organizational goals and customer expectations. Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and food safety excellence. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

Oversee all food safety programs, ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits, certifications, and customer quality inspections. Maintain and enforce compliance with industry standards such as SQF, BRC, or equivalent GFSI certifications. Operational Quality Management

Develop and manage quality control systems to monitor production processes, finished goods, and raw materials for compliance with specifications and quality standards. Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including customer complaints, non-conformances, and deviations, by implementing root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency. Documentation & Reporting

Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of quality programs, policies, and procedures. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on quality performance metrics, key initiatives, and areas of concern. Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support the development and launch of new products while ensuring quality and compliance. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high-quality standards for raw materials and ingredients. Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive quality assurance experience in the food manufacturing industry, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Technical Skills:

Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, SQF, BRC, FSMA). Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools, quality metrics, and data-driven decision-making. Soft Skills:

Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams. Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to internal and external stakeholders. Certifications:

Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar certifications are a plus. Key Competencies
