The Risk Chief Administrative Office (CAO) provides support to the Independent Risk organization with a focus on governance, control effectiveness, regulatory engagement, risk communications, financial performance including resource management.

The Organization

: The Resource and Business Management, within the COO, has strategic and operational responsibilities to support Citi's Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk organization to achieve its priorities and liaise with HR, Finance, O&T, ESPA and all Risk CROs by managing resources, financials, accountability, business and strategic planning and analysis, resilience, and overall business office management.

The Team:

The Expense Management Team, within Resource and Business Management, is responsible for leading all expenses activities for Independent Risk Management including Headcount and Financial Planning, centralized reporting, 3rd party Expenses process, expense guidelines and expense policy exceptions.

The Role:

The Expense Management Team is seeking an Expense Lead to be responsible for providing management support required for financial planning. The role will support to create and coordinate the annual planning and periodic forecast for non compensation expenses, conduct various ad hoc analyses that are complementary to the regular Planning and Analysis processes. The Expense Lead role will also work closely with finance partners based in Mumbai and other locations during the planning and forecasting cycles. The role would require learning of financial processes and planning tools such BAW, DSMT used by the Risk Organization.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Support financial results insights for different areas within Citi's Chief Risk Officer.

Maintain and update Expense guidelines for Risk aligned to Citi's expense policy.

Lead all policy exceptions requests for fulfillment.

Provide enhanced insights to specific non compensation expenses (T&E, Citi Gratitude, Education & Training, Relocations, etc.)

Provide monthly analysis for expense lines under review.

Be able to manage and run small processes and/or initiatives.

Assist in the development of material for internal senior leadership.

The right candidate should have the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can act as SME/guide to other team members.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data management/ mining

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

6-10 years of experience in a financial services role

Communications or marketing experience preferred

Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master's degree preferred
