Summary
This is a custodial job responsible for general cleaning of public buildings. The position is under the general supervision of the Building Maintenance Director and Building Maintenance Supervisor and/or his/her designee.

Performs custodial duties Complete all cleaning tasks in assigned work area daily including but not limited to maintaining/cleaning offices, bathrooms, fixtures, windows, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing floors, spot removal, washing dishes, scrubbing, buffing, dusting, disinfecting, and emptying or removing trash and recycling. Maintain exterior and interior entrances of assigned buildings. Provide general maintenance and cleanliness of equipment Assist custodial staff and other departments on an as needed basis. 5%
Performs additional support duties
Ensure adequate labeling of all chemical bottles Assist other departments on an as needed basis. Assure all doors are locked and return main key. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written English language skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient in basic computer systems and software (e.g., email, timekeeping software, work order inputs) Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to perform a quantity of work that should consistently in quantity and quality of that of the productivity standards established by the essential functions task list for assigned areas. Ability to perform quality work performed that should be consistently at or above the standards established by the essential functions task list for assigned areas. Knowledge of general building cleaning procedures. Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to building and grounds maintenance work. Knowledge of the use and care of hand tools and power equipment necessary to perform various building maintenance and repairs. Valid driver's license Ability to obtain first aid certification Ability to obtain CPR certification Ability to obtain Defensive driver certification Must be able to pass a background check Occasional overtime Regular and reliable attendance onsite at work location
