Role: Project Manager(Scrum Master)
Contract Term: 6+ months
On-Site Requirements: Memphis, TN
Description: Need an experienced Scrum Master, preferably with some project management background. We are seeking a mature Leader comfortable planning and driving projects and holding teams accountable. Responsibilities: • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects and programs • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives for the product team • Facilitate sprints planning, sprint refinement, retrospectives, sprint reviews and daily scrum meetings • Collaborate between developers, testers, and business stakeholders. • Coach team members in Agile frameworks and Guide teams to higher scrum maturity • Effective and clear verbal and written communication • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders) • Support the product owner and provide education where needed by work with product owners to handle backlogs, prioritization and new requests • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur for the team • Help teams implement changes effectively • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint • Monitor and improve the team's velocity. • Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices • Help the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction • Lead and development self-organization scrum team • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments • Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected project across multiple teams • Guide the team to apply the 5 whys to each proposed user story • Guide the team to focus on the desired behavior or outcomes • Provide weekly executive summaries of the project's progress Requirements: • 5+ years' experience in Agile • Prior experience in project management is preferred. • Bachelor's degree in management or a relevant field; • Excellent organizational, communication, management and leadership skills • Experience with budget, scope and schedule management • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
