The Network Architect - CCIE

The Network Architect position is a long-term permanent need. This person would be responsible for the IT network architecture across Rolls-Royce North America. The #1 priority in US IT right now is Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance, which is a requirement from the US Dept of Defense. This resource would be primarily focused on CMMC for the foreseeable future, but there are also network architecture needs for our Facilities IT projects, including at new or expanded manufacturing sites, test cells, and so on.
Required: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (which demonstrates a high level of expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network solutions) Strongly Preferred: Strong technical acumen, enterprise IT experience (preferably in a global organization), leadership, vendor management, collaboration Experience with writing architecture and low-level design documents in an enterprise environment or at another Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Strong design and technical skills with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), firewalls, network load balancers (NLB), and FIPS encryption technologies"

Your strong technical skills and architectural knowledge will enable you to lead the solution design in line with enterprise architectural standards and roadmaps. As the Network Solution Architect your focus will be on networking and related security across North America. Key Accountabilities: •Interpret business requirements to enable and guide the design of integrated solutions in line with enterprise architectural standards, reference architectures, and enterprise roadmaps across all areas of Infrastructure & Operations •Advise on technical aspects of systems development and integration, as well as available standards, methods, tools, and applications, and make appropriate choices from alternatives •Apply fundamental architectural principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts and ensure all applicable standards are adhered to in terms of design and documentation of the solutions •Provide technical leadership in a complex environment, including the analysis of designs, delivery options, and plans •Actively seek to understand the implications of new technologies and industry developments, communicating the opportunity and impact to the team •Communicate technical information effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audience
