You will work closely with our project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, innovative plans that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations. This position coordinates the work of consultants, assigns tasks to project staff, coordinates drawings and specifications and manages the production aspects of a project. Assistance during CA with submittal reviews and site meetings is to be expected. The Job Captain is responsible for overseeing the drafting process of a project and completing outstanding items or tasks.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination:Collaborate with project managers, design and other project team members to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure projects are executed efficiently and within established timelines and budgets.Design Development:Translate conceptual designs into detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications. Assist in the development of design concepts as needed.Code Compliance:Stay current with building codes and regulations and ensure project designs and documents adhere to all relevant codes and standards.Quality Assurance:Conduct regular reviews of project documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality. Implement best practices and quality control processes.Construction Administration:Assist in the administration of construction contracts, including site visits, responding to RFI's, and reviewing submittals.Technology Proficiency:Utilize industry-standard software tools such as Revit, and other relevant design and project management software.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture, architectural technology, or proven experience as a draftsperson in an architectural firm or related industry.2-4 years of architectural experience, including experience in project coordination and documentation.Proficiency in Revit, and other relevant industry-standard software.Intermediate/Working knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.Mathematical skillsIntermediate/Advanced skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry with no assistance.Reasoning and critical thinking abilityIntermediate/Advanced skills: possessed of a strong common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations with little or no supervision.
