Help Desk Technician
Southern Point Staffing has a career opportunity for a Help Desk Technician in Albany/Sylvester, GA! A Day in the Life of a Help Desk Technician As a Help Desk Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical challenges. You'll diagnose and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity, deploy and configure devices, maintain IT inventories, and document support activitiesall while providing friendly, professional support. Responsibilities and Duties Provide technical assistance to end-users in a Microsoft Windows environment. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Install, deploy, and configure computer systems, applications, mobile and peripheral devices. Maintain inventory of equipment, software licenses, and user accounts. Document and track support in a help desk ticketing system. Provide training on hardware and software, including M365 apps. Serve as subject matter expert on select projects and initiatives. Follow all cybersecurity and safety protocols. Qualifications and Experience 1+ year in Help Desk, customer support, or similar technical role. A+ Certification required (or equivalent hardware/software troubleshooting credential). Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred. Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision. Eagerness to grow both technical and soft skills. Must pass drug test and background check. Schedule and Compensation Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Schedule: Monday Friday, standard business hours. Benefits: SPS offers supplemental health insurance while on assignment.
