The ACLU seeks a full-time position of
Associate Director, Development Budget and Compliance
in the
Development Department
of the ACLU’s National office in
New York, NY . This is a
hybrid role
with in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month. The ACLU’s passionate community of donors and activists is stronger than ever. The mission of the Development Department is to build long-term donor relationships and organizational partnerships, demonstrate impact, and facilitate personal action to support the ACLU’s work. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Reporting to the
Deputy Director, Nationwide Development Resources, Budget, and Compliance , the
Associate Director, Development Budget and Compliance
will manage budgeting and compliance planning, leveraging Excel and data systems to produce reports that align revenue projections with fundraising strategies and budgets. The role also involves understanding data and privacy policies and their impact on Development programs. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Budget
Develop and maintain revenue and expense reports at various organizational levels. Help calculate cost factor projections for different revenue streams. Collaborate with Finance to reconcile fundraising reports with operating budgets. Track restricted gifts and revenue sharing. Compliance
Manage procurement requests, ensuring transparency. Serve as the point of contact for privacy and data governance issues. Identify and mitigate policy impacts on the department’s work. Manage stakeholder meetings and reporting. WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Advanced Excel skills Ability to synthesize stakeholder inputs Strong communication skills Experience with privacy and legal compliance FUTURE ACLU'ERS WILL
