Job Title: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Job Summary : Under the direction of the Director for Information Technology (IT) or designee, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for the integrity, security, and efficient management of all student and staff data across the district's various information systems. This position will work closely with the curriculum department to ensure accurate data in all systems and will lead in the district's overall cybersecurity needs.
Qualifications and Requirements : 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred. 2. 3+ years' experience in supporting both on premise and cloud-based software solutions preferred. 3. Experience with Microsoft & Google Products. 4. Ability to provide exceptional customer service to school community and staff. 5. Maintain current TB testing as required by Health Department regulations (after employment offer is made).
Performance Responsibilities : 1. Assist the curriculum department with needs associated with technology. 2. Actively participate in the district's cybersecurity efforts, including following current frameworks, monitoring for threats, assisting with incident response, implementing security measures across data systems, and contributing to security awareness programs. 3. Assists with administrating both on premise and cloud-based software solutions to meet the needs of the staff and students. 4. Actively involved in identifying privacy, security, and regulatory compliance needs of the district and implementing solutions to the address those needs with limited impact to the staff and students. 5. Assist with the develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for the technology department. 6. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues. 7. Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcing companies, and contractors, to secure hardware and software products and services. 8. Attend training to develop and retain a high level of expertise.
9. Assist with backup and recovery systems for all data systems. 10. Assist with Chromebook device management, using Google Admin. 11. Provide documentation, training, and guidance when necessary. 12. Help maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network for the purpose of ensuring secure data. 13. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information in order to remain in compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a professional work environment. 14. Provide proactive communication and notification to staff of pending or upcoming problems, outages, or other service issues in order to provide courteous and timely assistance to staff. 15. Perform other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast-pace, high-intensive work environment.
