Position Announcement
The Operations Technician is involved in all aspects of event set up and tear down at the UCCU Center, Lockhart Arena, and UCCU Ballpark. Responsibilities include setting up stages, chairs, tables, furniture, pipe and drape, barricades, risers, and various other equipment, in addition to some light day-to-day office paperwork. The operations Tech frequently assembles and disassembles the Utah Valley University NCAA Division 1 basketball floor that also includes professional basketball hoops, press tables, shot clocks, and various other sports related flooring and equipment. The Operations Tech operates and maintains telescopic bleachers including seating, rails, steps, and the mechanical equipment and motors attached to these units.

Event setup for each event to include, but not limited to, all floors, chairs, tables, stages, furniture, pip and drape, barricades, risers, bleachers, and railings. This includes keeping all areas and items safe and setup to remain safe for all team members and the general public. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Must be a current UVU student and have been awarded Federal Work-Study for 2025-2026 through UVU Financial Aid. Warehousing and organization skills.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of:
The assembly, setup, and removal of a portable NCAA Division I basketball court. Setting up stages, barriers, risers, chairs, etc. for concerts and various events. OSHA regulations. Event safety and standard practices. Skills:
Self-motivation and self-direction to perform tasks without constant supervision. Abilities:
Complete tasks on time and follow instructions. Be a good teammate, contribute positively to a winning culture, and be respectful. Manages ambiguity and operates effectively even when the way forward is not clear.
