Join HR Green as a Project Manager – Traffic or Roadway Engineering and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation infrastructure across Arizona and beyond. Whether your background is in traffic design, roadway design, or both, this is an opportunity to lead multidisciplinary projects—from traffic signal systems to corridor improvements and intersection redesigns. You’ll collaborate with talented teams, engage with clients, and drive innovative solutions that improve mobility and safety in our communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cultivate and expand relationships with municipal clients by identifying their needs, proposing tailored solutions, and positioning HR Green as a trusted advisor for future transportation and infrastructure projects.
Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects including traffic studies, signal and ITS designs, signing/striping plans, and roadway design for arterial improvements, intersections, and corridors.
Collaborate across disciplines to develop integrated solutions for transportation networks, incorporating both traffic operations and roadway geometry.
Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals; manage contracts and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and technical oversight to engineering staff working in AutoCAD, Microstation, Synchro/SimTraffic, and other tools.
Maintain and grow client relationships by serving as a key point of contact and trusted advisor.
Engage in business development efforts—support pursuits, attend industry events, and stay visible in the Arizona engineering community through groups like ITE, ASCE, and APWA.
Participate in QA/QC reviews and foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
8+ years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Traffic, Roadway and ITS related projects including studies, analysis, and design.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Arizona.
Familiarity with the standards and processes of local and state agencies in Arizona is a plus.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, and ability to collaborate with others.
Ability and desire to effectively lead, mentor, train, coach, and develop team members who are working with AutoCAD, Microstation and Synchro/SimTraffic.
Participation in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, and APWA is desired.
