Job Summary:

The Drafting and Design Discipline Manager is responsible for managing key client natural gas projects, interacting with existing clients to organically grow the project base, and engaging new and potential clients to increase client base. The Discipline Manager will act as the key internal and external contact for natural gas projects and program work of varying sizes. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, scope, and according to company and client's quality and technical expectations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate with PMs on resource allocation to ensure that design tasks are completed on schedule Champion a team of drafters/designers Drive the implementation and maintenance of organization-wide CAD Standards and best practices Hold weekly team workload coordination meetings Manage workload and utilization of direct reports Identify training needs and coordinate regular training sessions to enhance the skills of the drafting and design teams Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements and recommend upgrades or new tools as needed Oversee the drafting process from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications Collaborate with technical leads to provide project direction to drafting/design staff Conduct regular career development conversations with staff Evaluate drafters/designers on established performance metrics Coordinate with Tech Solutions to solve problems related to CAD deliverables and project technology needs Display exceptional soft skills (i.e., communication, interpersonal, organization, conflict resolution, and leadership) Assign budgeted hours to drafting/design related tasks Assist in the development of project estimates (hours & cost) for proposals Solutions-driven communication Active training leader within the organization Use and continually develop leadership skills Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency Be innovative and forward-thinking to drive change, quality, and efficiency within the company Leverage relationships for the purpose of recruiting top talent, engaging new clients, and seeking innovative solutions Entrepreneur's mindset, the drive to get it done at all costs, and desire to be innovative and creative Meets and/or exceeds KPIs for the role Builds depth of experience in the role of champion Qualifications: Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or a related field Required Skills:
