Direct Hire Title: Full Stack Engineer
Salary - up to $200,000 (dependent on interview performance, level, and location)
Responsibilities Client is hiring a Fullstack Engineer to help build the core legal operations platform. You'll work directly with the founding team to design and implement full-stack features-from scalable frontend components in React to backend services in Node. The role is ideal for builders who want high ownership in an early-stage startup and a direct hand in shaping product and architecture.
Core Responsibilities • Build and maintain key product features across React frontend and Node backend • Contribute to system design and architectural decisions as the team grows • Write clean, scalable code and participate in rigorous code reviews • Collaborate closely with design partners and legal ops users to refine product • Develop and optimize SQL-based queries and Postgres schem
Must-Have Qualifications • Strong professional experience with React (frontend) • Experience with Node.js (or willingness to learn for highly qualified candidates) • B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or 5+ years at name-brand companies) • Startup or high-growth environment experience, ideally VC-backed (e.g., Sequoia) • Proven ability to contribute across the stack in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications • Proficient in SQL and Postgres • Strong GitHub portfolio or well-documented side projects (code will be reviewed) • Experience in early-stage or founding engineering roles • Interest or potential to grow into a CTO-level role
