Overview
Empire Office is seeking a
Project Manager
in our Tampa Office tojoin our growing team. The function of this position is to provide direct oversight of each project from the beginning stages of budgeting to closing out with the client. This position is highly interactive and is responsible for on-site delivery and installation management for all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) items. This role is responsible for monitoring and communicating with all necessary vendors for each step of a project to ensure we meet and exceed the customer's expectations.
Key Responsibilities Review all FFE items and coordinate with the Client or architects
Consisting of Film/Signage/Furniture/Vending/Plants/Accessories/Supplies
Review client needs on a project-by-project basis Receive project kickoff information Attend kick-off meeting with client team in person as needed, or remotely Attend project meetings, construction meetings, and conference calls Establish milestone dates for all vendors Develop preliminary delivery and installation schedule for all FFE Vendors Coordinate field verification of critical demands Coordinate deliveries with the General Contractor, trades workers, and building management for all FFE vendors (i.e. elevators) Request and assemble installation documents and provide installation books Spot check order and counts Check all incoming deliveries to ensure the accuracy of the product Coordinate with electrician and data on-site Make sure the site is maintained and any excess product is managed appropriately Continually monitor the site and the progress of the job Troubleshoot any on-site issues Bring back any additional work orders from the field and work with Sales and Operations Coordinate training with manufacturers on the proper use of furniture Prepare a punch list and submit verification of the resolution on all items Coordinate and schedule all punch issues for FFE vendors Establish and attend furniture walk-through Duties could include helping with the placement/staging of accessory items Coordinate with the client on the final closeout or project Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years work experience in facility management, design, or related office furniture experience Technical/professional training or a two-year degree Proven organizational and follow-through skills Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook/Excel/Word) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work hours as needed to support the team and meet customer expectations Possesses strong interpersonal skills Proficient with mathematical disciplines Ability to read and understand construction drawings, furniture spec plans or other architectural drawings Ability to analyze problems solve and make decisions following company protocols Ability to travel on a needed basis.
