Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Department Information

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develops and implements a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy across academic colleges, in coordination with university priorities and Advancement leadership. 2. Standardizes best practices for alumni programming, volunteer engagement, and college-specific outreach, ensuring consistent execution and brand alignment across units. 3. Collaborates with deans, college communications teams, and advancement officers to drive strategic alumni initiatives that support college goals in reputation, recruitment, and philanthropy. 4. Oversees the planning and execution of high-visibility alumni events across colleges, ensuring program quality, stakeholder involvement, and outcome tracking. 5. Analyzes data from alumni interactions, event participation, and volunteerism by college; produces reports to inform strategy, demonstrate impact, and identify areas for growth. 6. Serves as the central liaison between college alumni resources and the department of Alumni & Constituent Engagement, facilitating communication, resource-sharing, and coordinated campaigns. 7. Champions innovation and continuous improvement across alumni engagement programs, leading cross-college collaboration and piloting new approaches to deepen alumni affinity and involvement. 8. May supervise and mentor a team of college-based alumni engagement coordinators or students, providing guidance, professional development, and performance management to ensure high-impact programming and outreach.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*: • Knowledge of alumni relations best practices, engagement strategies, and lifecycle communications • Understanding of higher education organizational structures, especially academic colleges and advancement units • Familiarity with event planning, volunteer management, and donor cultivation within a university context • Ability to collaborate effectively with deans, faculty, advancement staff, and university leadership Ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines and stakeholder interests • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and innovate within a dynamic university environment • Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff

Job Summary

Develops, organizes and implements comprehensive programs in the assigned college, department and/or unit. Responsible for preparing and organizing programs and activities. Promotes programs internal and external to the university and evaluates effectiveness. Ensures programs comply with university and USG policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*: 1. Develops, prepares, coordinates and implements assigned programs 2. Manages and facilitates department communications including program marketing, website creation, mobile applications and social media 3. Serves as liaison and communicates with academic divisions, colleges and departments 4. May assists in developing, monitoring and managing budget processes 5. Manages event planning, marketing and logistics 6. Interprets, evaluates, develops and implements policies and procedures 7. Creates, administers, and analyzes assessment programs 8. Facilitates program components, post-program evaluation and operational reporting 9. Assists with developing new programming 10. Prepares operational reports and analysis to inform center-level reporting and decision-making 11. May supervise assigned staff and/or student assistants

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience Three (3) years of related work experience

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $54,160 to $60,300 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience. This is a supervisory position. This position has financial responsibilities. This position will be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time This position does not require security clearance.
