Job Summary:
The
Payments Product Owner / Payments Lead
is a key role responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for payment processes and services across our D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) platforms. This individual will drive the payments roadmap, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams-including IT, D2C, Finance, and Compliance-to deliver seamless, secure, and scalable payment solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in payment technologies, regulatory compliance, and eCommerce best practices, with a proven ability to deliver high-impact product outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Payments Strategy & Roadmap:
Define and execute the payments product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Customer Support to align priorities and deliver best-in-class payment solutions. Market & Competitive Analysis:
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) to identify innovation opportunities and mitigate risks. Performance Optimization:
Track payment KPIs, identify inefficiencies, and implement enhancements to improve conversion, reduce costs, and elevate user experience. Compliance & Security:
Ensure adherence to payment regulations and security standards, working closely with relevant teams to address vulnerabilities. Product Development:
Translate business needs into actionable user stories, maintain a well-groomed backlog, and prioritize features for development teams. Cross-Functional Support:
Assist Accounts Receivable and Consumer Services in troubleshooting payment system issues and resolving customer disputes. Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience:
3+ years in product management, preferably in payments, fintech, or eCommerce. Technical Knowledge:
Expertise in payment processing (credit/debit cards, ACH, mobile wallets, PayPal, Apple Pay, Affirm, etc.). Familiarity with payment gateways, fraud prevention, billing systems, and eCommerce platforms. Experience with
QuickLizard
is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive decision-making. Soft Skills:
