Pay Rate: $20/hour
Position Summary
Support CORE Laboratory Informatics team in creating software solutions and systems. Communicate with team members via Microsoft Teams and email to support departmental goals and respond to ongoing needs.
Responsibilities
Contribute to software engineering projects including the creation of dashboards on engineering metrics* Create proof-of-concept applications as needed under the supervision of a senior engineer or manager* Learn and follow agile development methodologies, with training provided* Track completion of task status* Attend virtual team meetings when requested by manager* *ADA Essential Functions
Required Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, required Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related area, preferred Ability to work independently with clear instructions and deliver results of expected deliverables Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally Has programmed in one of the following languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, Java, or C++, preferred Ability to assess information, identify patterns or trends, and use sound judgement to support effective decision-making and problem-solving Experience with using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Experience with Tableau or Power BI, preferred Previous experience programming in one of the following languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, Java, or C++, preferred
Familiarity with at least one source control repository system (preferably Git), preferred
