Project Manager - Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient team member to support our sales and operations team with customer-focused solutions that require mechanical or architectural drafting. This role combines technical design expertise with client-facing responsibilities, helping to translate customer needs into accurate, customized proposals and drawings. The ideal candidate will work closely with the manufacturing and sales departments to prepare project-specific layouts, technical presentations, and cost estimates, ensuring feasibility and compliance with product standards and customer specifications. This role will also assist in inventory management and dispatching of deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure the correct production of precast components.

Maintain print directory

Participate in trade associations and engage in continuous education

Working knowledge of the manufacturing process and all costs associated with production of product

Provide guidance to contractors, engineers, and municipal decision-makers on proper use and installation

Assist in customizing solutions based on site-specific needs or state/local regulations (e.g., Ohio EPA standards).

Identify and develop relationships with new customers such as contractors, builders, plumbers, and municipalities.

Maintain and grow existing customer accounts.

Provide quotes, prepare proposals, and follow up on bids.

Coordinate with production and delivery teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.

Track project timelines and communicate with clients throughout the order-to-delivery process.

Stay current on Ohio-specific health department and EPA regulations regarding on-site wastewater treatment.

Monitor competitors and market trends in the septic tank and onsite wastewater treatment industry.

Identify opportunities to expand product lines or penetrate new markets within Ohio.

Visit job sites to assess conditions, troubleshoot problems, or verify installations.

Offer post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

A Professional Engineers (PE) license is desired, but not required

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and site plans.

Previous experience in precast concrete production or a related manufacturing field is .

Strong understanding of precast concrete products, particularly septic tanks, stormwater systems, or wastewater management.

Knowledge of DOT, ASTM, and ACI standards relevant to precast structures.

Familiarity with Ohio EPA regulations, state plumbing codes, and local permitting requirements related to septic systems.Ability to translate technical features into value propositions for contractors, engineers, municipalities, or developers.

Strong negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills
