Position Headline:
The Gifting Company, LLC, a dynamic e-commerce business specializing in perishable products, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our IT department. This role will focus on maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring system reliability across our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, familiarity with cloud platforms and automation tools, and the ability to support a fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and administer physical and virtualized server infrastructure, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Oversee network infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity across company locations. Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and system-related issues promptly. Review and enhance current IT processes and procedures to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Communicate project statuses, timelines, and updates to stakeholders and team members. Collaborate on software integration, testing, and deployment as needed to support business operations. Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data protection standards, and relevant regulations. Assist with onboarding new IT tools and systems, including user training when required. Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and implement disaster recovery plans. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or related role. Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code, Google Cloud Platform for cloud management Familiarity w. Chef for configuration management Familiarity w. GitHub for version control and collaboration Experience in a multi-location environment and/or e-commerce/distribution setting, a plus. Familiarity w. Netsuite, ERP a plus Familiarity with GoLang a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Valid driver's license preferred for occasional on-site support. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Physical Demands of Position
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and balance Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crawl and spend time making repetitive motions Moderate handling that demands crouching, stooping, reaching Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Job Type : Full-time

Position Pay:

Work Location : Hybrid or FullRemote Position
Must have high availability outside normal business hours during peak business periods, including Thanksgiving through New Year's, and the week of Valentine's Day & Mother's Day. We are a holiday-focused e-commerce company, and site reliability is critical during this period.
