Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Survey Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist in various surveying tasks to support our construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Construction Layouts:

Erosion Control Clearing and Grubbing Paving, Curb, and Sidewalk Mass Grading

Set up and operate surveying equipment such as robotic total stations, GPS, and levels. Daily use of Survey and GPS tools:

Base Station, Rover, and Data Collector Robotic Total Station Site Control and Calibration

Troubleshooting

Dozers, Excavators, Motor-graders, GPS Equipment, etc.

Quality Control/Quality Assurance

Collect and record survey data accurately and efficiently. Prepare survey sketches and maps for project documentation. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure survey results meet project specifications. Perform field measurements and assist in quality control of survey work. Maintain and organize surveying equipment and tools. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Physical Requirements:

Depending on the specific job duties, surveying involves both fieldwork and office work. Fieldwork includes:

Working outdoors in all types of weather. Walking long distances and standing for extended periods while taking measurements. Climbing hills while carrying heavy packs of surveying instruments. Climbing up and down ladders and pulling body weight in and out of equipment or shallow ditches/trenches. Bending, squatting, and kneeling as needed. Lifting, pushing, or pulling in excess of 50 lbs. Exposure to loud noise, dust, toxic materials, and working in confined spaces. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Basic understanding of surveying principles and equipment preferred. Strong foundation of mathematical skills. Proficient in using computer software for data entry and analysis (e.g., Microsoft Office). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
