Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the lead, the Assembly Technician installs parts and components into Singer vehicles in a manner that meets company goals and standards and demonstrates, "Everything is Important."

We're currently offering a

limited-time $1,500 sign-on bonus

for Assembly Tech III roles.

External candidates

who interview and sign an offer between August 4 and September 30 will be eligible. The bonus is paid in three installments, with full details provided at the time of offer.

Essential Function

May provide technical leadership, lead teams on assignments, check quality and quality of work, troubleshoot assembly problems, and recommend solutions Trains new/lower grade technicians on processes and procedures Works with Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure production demands meets the specified production schedule Ensures workflow is tracked and on time through daily meetings Diagnoses build issues Works daily tasks lists set out by Lead and Production Supervisor Reports daily vehicle build status to Lead and Production Supervisor Performs operational procedures according to required engineering specifications Reports any issues, delays, and all non-conformances in production line to Lead/Production Supervisor and ensure correction in a timely manner Completes assembly of Singer vehicles from bumper to bumper, drivetrain to interior Assembles components necessary for installation on vehicles Fits and finishes components onto vehicles Reports any material shortages and/or part defects to Lead and Production Supervisor Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates the ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment Assists other team members as necessary Assists in special projects as required Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum four (4) to five (5) years of related work experience in an automotive, restoration, manufacturing, and/or assembly environment Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications:

Three (3) to five (5) years technical training in the automotive/motorcycle industry Familiarity with Porsche vehicles (early models) Prior experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing Prior experience in rapid growth environment Skills/Abilities and Attributes

Possesses good leadership skills and the ability to train others Possesses strong problem-solving skills and takes initiative to bring problems to a resolution Competency in working with basic hand tools, cutting tools, air tools, and electric grinders Perfectionist mindset with a very high attention to detail; mechanically inclined and a passion for cars Ability to work safely around vehicles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment Effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadlines Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines Positive attitude and strong work ethic

The typical schedule for this role is Monday - Friday from 5am-1:30pm in Torrance, CA with potential for overtime.

Compensation The starting salary range for this position is between $28 - 33 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
