Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Sub Assembly Technician tests, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles components to be installed into Singer vehicles in a manner that demonstrates, "Everything is Important."
Scope of Work in the Department Specializes in refurbishing and surfacing aluminum trim components with a focus on meeting exacting standards in preparation for the nickel-plating of trim. Brings a high level of attention to detail and craftsmanship in handling delicate, highly visible trim pieces that contribute to the vehicle's overall presentation. Supports the Sub-Assembly team by ensuring aluminum elements meet or exceed Singer's visual and quality benchmarks, aligning with the company's "Everything is Important" philosophy. Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed. Essential Functions
Works with Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure production demands meets the specified production schedule Works daily tasks lists set out by Lead/Production Supervisor Reports daily vehicle build status to Lead/Production Supervisor Performs operational procedure according to required engineering specifications Ensures workflow is tracked and on time through daily meetings Reports any issues, delays, and all non-conformances in production line to Lead and ensure correction in a timely manner Lead/Production Supervisor Reports any material shortage/part defect Lead/Production Supervisor Assembles, tests, modifies, and rebuilds vehicle components Handles delicate vehicle components Performs repetitive build-to-inventory tasks Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates the ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment Assists other team members as necessary Assists in special projects as required Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of related work experience in an automotive, restoration, manufacturing, and or assembly environment Must be able to pass basic mechanical test Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications
One (1) to two (2) years of technical training in the automotive/motorcycle industry Prior experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing Prior experience in rapid growth environment Skills/Abilities and Attributes
Competency in working with basic hand tools, cutting tools, air tools, and grinders Strong mechanical aptitude Able to read and understand work instructions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment Effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others Perfectionist mindset, very high attention to detail, and a passion for cars Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadlines Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Compensation The starting salary range for this position is between $22 - 33 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
