Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced

Senior

Ansible Engineer Guru

to take a lead role in designing, building, and optimizing infrastructure automation solutions. This role is primarily hands-on, focused on developing robust Ansible playbooks and automation workflows. While leadership is not the core focus, the ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic initiatives is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Ansible Automation & Technical Execution Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable

Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules

to support infrastructure and application automation. Continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve

performance, reliability, and security . Integrate Ansible automation into

CI/CD pipelines

and existing DevOps workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation scripts, ensuring high availability of services. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner closely with

DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams

to embed Ansible automation into broader systems and operational processes. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Act as a

technical point of contact

for Ansible-related initiatives and solutions. Monitoring, Optimization & Maintenance

Oversee and maintain the health and performance of

Ansible automation infrastructure . Proactively identify automation gaps and optimize existing solutions to reduce manual overhead and risk. Provide accurate reporting on automation effectiveness, reliability, and impact. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Maintain clear and detailed documentation for automation processes, standards, and architecture. Provide training, guidance, and support to other team members on Ansible usage and best practices. Stay current with emerging tools and trends in configuration management and infrastructure automation. Team Mentorship & Leadership Support

Mentor junior automation engineers and share best practices to elevate team capabilities. Support team planning activities such as setting OKRs and prioritizing automation initiatives. Contribute to building a culture of

collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation . Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven, hands-on experience in

Ansible automation , including playbook and module development. Strong knowledge of

Linux/Unix systems , scripting languages ( Bash ,

Python ), and infrastructure management. Experience with

CI/CD tools

(e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and

version control systems

(e.g., Git). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and process efficiency. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent practical experience. Experience guiding or mentoring engineers in an automation or DevOps setting is a strong asset.
