The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support across key HR functions, including benefits and FMLA administration, onboarding, and compliance. They help ensure smooth and compliant HR processes, act as a liaison with ADP, and support employees and external parties with HR-related inquiries. This role reports to the Senior Director of People Operations and works collaboratively with the Human Resources team.
Our Ideal Candidate: • 2+ years of experience in human resources function or capacity • Degree in business or human resources preferred; equivalent work experience also considered. • APHR or PHR certification is a plus • Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and MS Office Suite • Strong benefits background, especially FMLA, and a basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws • Must be technologically savvy and able to learn new systems and tools quickly • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to learn and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to share and provide information effectively. • Professional maturity, emotional intelligence, sensitivity, and discretion to the confidential nature of HR information. • Sound decision-making and judgment, especially when determining appropriate action within the scope of organizational policies and practices and escalating requests to senior HR staff as needed. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team player.
How You'll Spend Your Day • Performs timely and accurate data entry in HRMS, including entering new hires, job/pay changes, terminations, promotions, etc. • Organize, coordinate, and support HR projects and processes for the organization, including recruitment coordination, new hire onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, FMLA administration, records management, data validation, and document preparation and review. • Responds to employee inquiries and communicates with vendors regarding employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, life & AD&D, disability, FSA, voluntary plans, and leaves of absence). • Acts as liaison with ADP to ensure HR and benefits compliance. • Prepare, organize. and maintain all electronic HR files in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Draft HR documents (e.g., employment and leave letters, etc.) for review, as requested. • Monitors, maintains, and triages the HR inbox and mail received. • Maintains and updates HR materials on the SharePoint intranet, as requested. • Provides administrative support for organizational culture initiatives and staff events. • Other responsibilities as assigned.
