Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Construction Manager
to lead the execution of a large-scale
hydroelectric dam project . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
civil construction projects , with proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects in challenging environments. This role requires a deep understanding of dam construction, geotechnical considerations, concrete works, and water management systems.
Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership:
Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Civil work Oversight:
Provide technical guidance on civil works including excavation, foundation treatment, concrete placement, spillways, intake structures, and embankments. Team Coordination:
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and quality control. Scheduling & Budgeting:
Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and control costs to ensure project delivery within budget. Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all civil works, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and regulatory requirements. Health & Safety:
Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with design teams, consultants, government agencies, and local communities to ensure smooth project execution. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or significant related field experience. Minimum
10 years
of experience in large-scale infrastructure or hydroelectric projects. Strong knowledge of
dam construction methods , civil construction, and concrete technology. Proficiency in construction management tools. (Microsoft products, Bluebeam, etc.) Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in remote or challenging environments. Preferred Experience:
Experience with
Mass concrete pours, setup and QC . Familiarity with
environmental impact assessments
and
sustainability practices
in hydro projects.
Previous work on
international or government-funded infrastructure projects .
