Position Summary: You will report directly to the Manager of Behavioral Health Crisis and receive direction from Clinical Nurse Management. You will provide essential clinical services to children, adolescents, and adults in need of behavioral health care. Your responsibilities will include crisis assessment, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, case management, and coordination with healthcare team members. Education/Certification: A Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health field. State of Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), or equivalent required. CPR certification preferred but not required. Must receive training in PMT and de-escalation techniques within 6 months of hire. Experience: Prior experience in the Behavioral Health field is preferred, along with competencies in age-specific care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans, modifying them according to patient needs. Make timely referrals to appropriate care settings. Complete all required documentation per organizational and regulatory standards. Engage actively in team meetings to enhance patient outcomes. Deliver effective patient and family education. Facilitate group and individual therapeutic interventions. Manage emergencies and utilize appropriate psychological techniques to handle potentially volatile situations.
