We’re supporting a global provider of advanced manufacturing solutions, who are looking for a
Program Manager
to join our team based in
Elk Grove Village, Illinois . The successful Program Manager will bring a strong background in program/project management, particularly within high-precision metal and plastic manufacturing environments. This is a full-time, direct hire role with significant customer-facing responsibility and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and internal departments (engineering, procurement, supply chain).
Manage cross-functional teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and full product lifecycle activities.
Coordinate and schedule pilot and pre-production builds.
Establish program timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
Lead customer program reviews and ensure alignment with client expectations.
Collaborate with quoting and costing teams to define and develop accurate proposals.
Ensure quality requirements are clearly communicated and implemented, including support for PPAP and inspection protocols.
Monitor program performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field .
Minimum 5 years’ experience in program/project management in a manufacturing setting.
Background in metal stamping, plastics, or contract manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, quality standards, and production processes.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex programs across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in project management tools and ERP systems.
PMP certification is desirable.
