Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of various programs and projects. These programs include Lasting Change (aftercare home visits), street outreach, Homeless Response Team, Storing Dignity program, Guest Grant program, and other priority programs as defined by the Executive Director and Management Team.

The Program Coordinator will effectively convey the mission, impact, and future opportunities of St. John's Ministries' programs and will continuously deepen their understanding of the organization and those it serves.

Key Responsibilities:

Create, update, and maintain policies and procedures for various programs and initiatives. Conduct and coordinate home visits to former guests or referred clients under the Lasting Change program, working in collaboration with partnering agencies. Perform outreach duties to engage with the local community and stakeholders, promoting program participation and support. Conduct and coordinate street outreach visits to encampments and public areas and collaborate with community partners on the Homeless Response Team. Enter case notes in CaseWorthy for all notable guest and program participant interactions and utilize a case management strategy for all contacts. Coordinate activities, manage budgets, and ensure all programs and projects are completed on time and within budget. Oversee the Storing Dignity program, Guest Grant program, and other initiatives. Monitor program expenditures, prepare financial statements, and maintain records related to program activities. Prepare reports on program progress, outcomes, and evaluations for current program donors, and assist in grant writing and funding requests. Represent St. John's Ministries in select community groups, and convey information learned to staff members. Plan and organize events, workshops, and seminars related to programs, ensuring all logistical details are managed effectively. Train and lead selected volunteers and various staff members, under the direction and approval of the Management Team. Coordinate tasks in a way that supports safe and successful program delivery. Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Management Team as needed. Schedule and coordinate various community providers to present to staff during meetings. Additional Responsibilities:

Represent St. John's Ministries at events and outreach activities to engage current and prospective donors, volunteers, and partnering agencies in the community. Maintain a presence at shelters and resource centers as needed and work occasional shelter shifts as assigned. Actively participate in work groups and team initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Employees Supervised:

None, but the position coordinates activities with volunteers and other staff members. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, social work, education, human development, or 3-5 years equivalent experience in a related field is required. Experience in social services, project management, volunteer coordination, or case management with a preferred background in homelessness services desired. Skills and Abilities:

Passion for the mission and population served by St. John's Ministries. Ability to report to work at our various locations. Must be flexible in working hours as evening and weekends are required on occasion. Physical Demands:

Work Location: Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Occasionally required to lift and or move up to 20 pounds. Computer Use: Perform administrative tasks involving typing and computer use. Work Environment:

Professional Setting: Operate in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols, including the use of PPE, to minimize health risks. Supplies: Cleaning supplies are utilized to help prevent the spread of cold and flu viruses, ensuring a healthier environment for everyone. This position involves some outdoor work in a variety of natural environments, including forests, wetlands, fields, and other undeveloped areas. Employees will be exposed to varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Terrain may be uneven, muddy, or densely vegetated, requiring physical stamina and the ability to navigate through landscapes. Work may involve proximity to wildlife, insects, and plants that could pose allergic or physical risks. This position involves some travel to and from guests' residences, requiring comfort with working in a variety of home environments. Employees may encounter diverse living conditions, including homes with pets, smokers, or varying levels of cleanliness and organization. Work is conducted indoors, but may involve navigating stairs, tight spaces, or homes without climate control. Interaction with clients and their families is a key component, requiring strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. Safety protocols must be followed at all times, including infection control measures and situational awareness. Reliable transportation and adherence to scheduled visits are essential. Benefits:
