The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is seeking an Associate Director of Individual and Estate Giving to help shape the future of our theatre by cultivating meaningful relationships with major donors and legacy supporters. Join a passionate team driving one of the nations most beloved and historic theatre companies into its next chapter. The Role Youll Play: As the Associate Director of Individual and Estate Giving, youll lead a critical part of OSFs $20M+ fundraising efforts, stewarding a portfolio of high-level donors and family foundationsincluding our Century Circle , Artistic Directors Circle , and Southampton Legacy Society . Youll champion both current and planned giving strategies, building a bridge between our donors passions and OSFs enduring mission. From personalized stewardship to visionary legacy planning, youll create opportunities for donors to leave a profound and lasting mark on OSFs work. What Youll Be Doing: Major Gifts Strategy : Manage and grow a portfolio of ~120 major donors/prospects with giving capacity of $6K and upthrough personalized cultivation, meetings, and correspondence. Planned Giving Leadership : Serve as the teams go-to expert for estate and legacy giving strategies, vehicles, and proposals. Lead OSFs planned giving program and steward the Southampton Society. Relationship Development : Foster strong connections with current and prospective donors through events, site visits, communications, and stewardship strategies. Collaborative Fundraising : Partner with teammates on high-level donor events, strategy sessions, and campaign planning to ensure a unified donor experience. Strategic Tracking : Maintain accurate records, reports, pledges, and donor actions using Tessitura or similar CRM platforms. Storytelling & Knowledge Sharing : Stay fluent in OSFs season offerings, core values, and IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility) work to engage donors authentically and effectively. Event Engagement : Represent OSF at key events, receptions, and performancesbeing both a face of the organization and a trusted contact for donors. Youll Thrive Here If You: Have 5+ years of experience in individual major gift fundraising and 2+ years of planned giving expertise. Know how to build donor relationships that last and strategies that deliver. Communicate with confidence, grace, and genuine careboth in person and in writing. Are highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing complex donor portfolios. Have experience with Tessitura or a comparable CRM, and are fluent in the Microsoft Office Suite. Thrive independentlyandin collaboration with a team. Carry a passion for OSFs mission and a strong ethical compass when it comes to donor confidentiality and stewardship. Bring a bachelors degree and a lifelong learning mindset to your work. Bonus Points For: A background in the arts or a personal passion for theatre.
