DroneShield (ASX:DRO) offers an opportunity to solve some of the world's most challenging technical problems in Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, RF sensing, Sensor Fusion and distributed systems. Working with high profile customers across militaries, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure, law enforcement and many others.
Be part of a well-funded and agile organization, as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team. The best candidates will be both creative lateral thinkers and doers. Our technical pursuits require us to take advantage of the absolute latest in technology and best practices to remain competitive.
About the role
We are looking for a Product Intelligence Analyst to own the process for collecting information, competitive analysis, performing analysis and strategic technology scouting, then distributing findings to the technical, sales and executive teams.
This role requires a deep understanding of the technology involved in uncrewed systems, DroneShield products, and other EW, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and C-UAS systems. This role will work closely with our Sales, Marketing and Product teams to enable their success and drive go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Generate and maintain a deep understanding of the strategic landscape around UAS, UxS, C-UAS and C-UxS technology in both theoretical (emerging) and real-world (deployed) capacities. Analyze both perspectives to understand and communicate the current capabilities and predicted trajectory. Develop a deep understanding of DroneShield products, and the associated technologies in the sector, including adjacent capabilities and emerging concepts. Translate capability gaps and threat evolution into clear technical requirements and product recommendations. Develop and maintain a live competitive intelligence database across peer and adjacent technologies, products and competitors in the C-UAS and broader defense sensor ecosystem. Research, engage, develop and support strategic partnerships by providing technical due diligence and integration pathway mapping. Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to inform product direction and messaging with up-to-date market intelligence. Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field, or relevant industry experience in Defense, Aerospace, or high-technology industries. 5+ years of experience in industry analysis, corporate intelligence, strategic advisory, technical marketing, or sales enablement roles. Ideally supported by a background in public sector, Defence, or Critical Infrastructure (aviation, energy, etc). A basic understanding of sensor/effector technologies, C2 systems, data fusion, and counter-UAS systems (RF, radar, acoustic, seismic, EO/IR) is ideal. Sound understanding of regulatory compliance (e.g., FCC, ITAR, FAR, DFARS, MIL-STD, STIG, STANAG, ISO) is beneficial. Familiarity with military technology; COTS and GOTS defense software solutions, cybersecurity, and communications systems. Ability to translate complex defense technology concepts into clear messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences. Understanding of mission-critical systems, ruggedized hardware, secure communications, AI/ML applications in defense, or aerospace technology. Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, sales teams, government agencies, and defense contractors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing white papers, RFP responses, and defense-related technical documentation and sales collateral.
Note for recruitment agencies: We do not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters unless specifically instructed.
