We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex construction and industrial projects and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. GENESYS projects encompass engineering design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases. As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of company core values, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with a steadfast commitment to safety excellence. This role requires an individual with strong construction project management experience and the ability to lead field execution across diverse environments.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to one of the Managers of Building Products
Works closely with the Project Management, Sales, Engineering, and Field Services teams
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all phases of construction-focused projects, including engineering, fabrication, shop run-offs, field installation, commissioning, and closeout
Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules, update project financials and labor forecasts on a weekly basis
Facilitate weekly project meetings and provide leadership for resource planning, design and constructability reviews, procurement planning, and safety coordination
Write, negotiate, and manage subcontractor agreements and scopes of work; manage invoicing and collections
Prepare and manage change orders, develop risk mitigation plans, and ensure completion of JSAs, SPAs, and all required safety documentation
Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards; conduct job site audits as needed
Maintain open issue logs and action plans to track project performance and problem resolution
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
Performance Metrics:
Manage $8$15MM in earned revenue annually
Achieve a 2% positive variance on sold gross profit margins
Increase project revenue by >15% through effective change management and negotiations
Drive a zero lost-time incident record by maintaining a strong safety culture
Requirements:
5+ years of project management experience in construction, industrial installation, or related fields
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a technical field
PMP certification is a plus but not required
Proven track record in managing field-based construction projects from planning through execution
Working knowledge of multiple disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic systems)
Experience in contract negotiation, budget management, schedule development, and risk mitigation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication across all levelsfield crews, customers, suppliers, and executive leadership
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and subcontractors to deliver complex construction projects
Resilience under pressure with a proactive approach to problem-solving and change management
Demonstrated leadership, adaptability, and conflict resolution in dynamic environments
Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to job sites and client locations
