Senior ROV Pilot/Technician Job Summary:

The Senior ROV Pilot/Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and related systems. This role requires significant experience in piloting ROVs in offshore environments and overseeing mission-critical subsea tasks, including inspection, maintenance, and repair operations.

Senior ROV Pilot/Technician Responsibilities: Pilot and navigate the ROV during subsea operations, including tooling intervention, inspection, and construction support.

Conduct pre- and post-dive checks on all ROV systems and tooling equipment.

Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical systems on the ROV and associated deck equipment.

Assist in the launch and recovery of the ROV.

Document all operations in dive logs, maintenance reports, and client-facing documentation.

Supervise junior pilots and technicians, providing training and guidance.

Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with company and client safety procedures.

Participate in planning meetings and toolbox talks. Senior ROV Pilot/Technician Position Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of offshore experience with ROV systems (work-class preferred).

Technical diploma or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or marine engineering.

Valid offshore survival and medical certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, OGUK).

Knowledge of subsea tooling and manipulator systems.

Strong understanding of subsea operations, including IMR (Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair), pipeline, and construction support.

Experience with industry-standard ROV systems such as Saab Seaeye, Schilling, Forum, or Oceaneering units.

Familiarity with digital video recording systems, sonar, USBL/DVL navigation.

Competency in reading subsea drawings and schematics.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on high-voltage, fiber optics, and hydraulic systems.
