As the lead NC3 Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) arm of the NC3 Enterprise Center, the division applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices and translates mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions. SE&I also has the responsibility to apply established standards, and, when necessary, develop new standards, to ensure seamless interoperability across the NC3 enterprise. The SE&I is comprised of 3 branches: Enterprise Sustainment & Evolution Enterprise Performance & Capabilities Enterprise Mission Management Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Collaborating with information engineers to establish system information requirements for NC3 enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems

Designing NC3 architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces Evaluating problems of workflows, organization, and planning and developing appropriate corrective action Incorporating reference models and profiles of standards into specifications for Information Management solutions Provide system engineering expertise to evaluate and ensure upgrades, integration, test, transformation efforts of NC3/NLCC systems and sub-components are executed as planned Assess the NC3/National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) systems and sub-component's ability meet the mission requirements and operate as designed Assess the NLCC/NC3 architecture using computer simulations and models to evaluate how well communications work in a benign and stressed nuclear environment; generate reports and briefs using the results Conduct mission engineering studies to guide decisions focused on the end-to-end mission to identify new or enhanced capabilities and provide impacts of performance levels on NC3 system of systems Documenting the action of the study (i.e. TOR), recommending (and coordinating with) study participants, setting up and facilitating meeting, defining timeline and deliverables
