Leidos is searching for a
Lead Network Solutions Engineer
to be part of our innovative Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. This role provides a thrilling opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) migration to the Department of Defense's Fourth Estate (DoD 4th Estate) agencies, working towards a unified IT infrastructure. POSITION SUMMARY: This critical position involves delivering top-tier Network Infrastructure services to facilitate the transition to a Single Service Provider (SSP) network environment, serving all 4th Estate users. You will oversee network operations, management, engineering and cybersecurity services, contributing to the innovation and technical refresh of our infrastructure. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold an active Secret security clearance before starting and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide expert advice in network design, integration, testing, and security for DISA DoDNet. Demonstrate extensive knowledge in large-scale enterprise network implementations and transitions to Network Operations. Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and security solutions. Guide a team of 5+ direct reports, contributing to their technical development. Suggest innovative solutions to Network Domain Architects to improve configuration baselines, automation effectiveness, and continuous service improvements. Assess network bandwidth requirements and recommend enhancements as needed. Plan and execute network upgrades, collaborating with Delivery Operations Managers and other key stakeholders. Act as a senior Tier III escalation support engineer for incident management. Engage in root cause analysis for problem management activities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, analyses, and reports. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree with 15+ years of experience; additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Must possess DoD IAT level II certification, specifically Sec+. Advanced vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto). 10+ years of engineering and troubleshooting experience with extensive routing and switching expertise. In-depth understanding of IP network addressing. Experience in presenting to senior management and stakeholders. Familiarity with the ITIL framework and ability to travel up to 25%, including potential OCONUS travel. Willingness to work or be available during off-hours to support customer missions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience with DISA supported networks. Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager. Experience in NET/SEC DevOps. ITIL v3/v4 certification/training.
