Project Manager for Investment Management Full-Time The Opportunity Join our newly established Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO) as an experienced Project Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management initiatives. In this position, you will report directly to the Investment Management Portfolio Lead and take charge of planning, daily execution, management, implementation, and reporting of various projects, while adhering to defined project management processes and standards. The CFPMO's mission is to enhance the value and impact of change efforts across MassMutual's corporate functions. You'll follow a standardized methodology for project initiation, planning, execution, and closure, partnering closely with project sponsors and portfolio leads to create necessary project artifacts tailored to each project’s complexity. The Team You will be part of a portfolio that oversees initiatives across Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management. Our team emphasizes establishing project management standards company-wide, driving the alignment of critical programs and projects within our Corporate Functions. This collaboration aims to improve visibility, prioritization, and execution of ongoing work. Your Impact: Collaborate with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile essential Discovery artifacts including a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter, Resource Plan, and Milestone Plan, paving the way for receiving Discovery Funding. Develop and maintain necessary Detailed Planning artifacts and manage project execution effectively. Define project scope and ensure its execution across multiple high-complexity projects or programs that align with strategic corporate goals. Create financial forecasts, monitor cost variances, proactively address delivery challenges, and manage budget adjustments as needed through the Change Request Process. Establish high-level milestones during Discovery phases and detailed project schedules in Detailed Planning stages. Work with autonomy to refine resource plans, develop RACI matrices, conduct Key-Person Risk Assessments, and evaluate Third-Party Support Needs. Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate project risks by maintaining a Risk and Issue Log and participating in project Pre-Mortem activities. Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond your immediate responsibilities. Ensure all business requirements are met throughout the development and implementation phases. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 8+ years of project management experience. 1+ years of experience with project management software, including MS Project and Jira. Ideal Qualifications: 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a PMO setting. 8+ years of experience leading projects in Investment Management and Capital Market systems. Proven track record of delivering complex long-term projects on time and within budget. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent credential. Strong grasp of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
