Job Summary
Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) is seeking a PeopleSoft SEMA4 Specialist to provide consultative services to state agency SEMA4 users regarding the human resources information system (HRIS). The incumbent will guide SEMA4 users through technical and functional inquiries regarding state contracts and pay plans, HR practices, and administrative procedures as they relate to personnel records, pay rates, and insurance coverage.
Job duties for this position include:
Responding to SEMA4-related inquiries and serving as the subject matter expert to human resources and payroll staff across the Enterprise Resolve insurance issues and correct HR transactions so that benefits administration is processed correctly; work with agency human resources and payroll staff to promote consistency Participate in salary mass update projects Verify and approve grievances, arbitration, and worker's compensation settlement award payments This position is currently eligible for up to 50% hybrid telework to applicants who either reside in Minnesota
or
a bordering state and within 50 miles of the work location.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience processing employee benefits or payroll transactions in a HRIS Computer skills sufficient to navigate email, track and record data in spreadsheets, and utilize complex software efficiently Knowledge of technical human resources functions sufficient to understand how transactions affect employee benefits Presentation and communication skills sufficient to develop and deliver human resources information to human resources staff Analytical and problem-solving skills sufficient to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems reported by SEMA4 users Demonstrated respect for diversity and a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment Preferred Qualifications
