Job Title: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Administrator
Contract to Hire Position
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Administrator to lead enterprise-level data protection strategies within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a passion for information security, compliance, and digital governance. You'll work cross-functionally with IT, security, and business teams to design, implement, and optimize DLP policies using Microsoft Purview.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Microsoft Purview DLP policies to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor, investigate, and respond to data loss incidents and alerts. Collaborate with business units to understand data protection needs and provide customized solutions. Conduct audits and assessments to ensure policy effectiveness and regulatory alignment. Integrate DLP policies with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration platforms. Provide end-user training on data protection best practices. Stay up to date on DLP technologies and incorporate emerging trends into the strategy. Support implementation and governance of Microsoft 365 tools including CoPilot, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and Power BI. Partner with security teams on policy compliance elements like sensitivity labels, retention policies, and external access controls. Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of enterprise-level IT experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview. Proficiency in SharePoint permissions and architecture (SPFx). Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a DLP Administrator, Developer, or Engineer. Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, CISSP, CISM) preferred. Familiarity with ServiceNow and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Prior experience in secure, regulated environments such as data centers or government facilities.
