Applications Engineer - Precision CNC / Turnkey Solutions A well-established manufacturer of advanced machining solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its North Carolina-based team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong CNC programming background and a passion for turnkey manufacturing solutions.

What You'll Do

Lead the full cycle of turnkey machining projects - from program creation to on-site customer implementation Develop and optimize CNC programs (primarily Fanuc, with 5-axis applications strongly preferred) Set up tooling, fixtures, and machining processes for cycle time and quality targets Validate processes using SPC techniques and CMM inspection data Partner with proposal and sales teams on application reviews and pre-sales consultations Conduct customer training sessions and support technical troubleshooting (on-site and remote) Regularly travel to customer locations across North America (50%+ travel) What You Bring

5+ years of CNC programming experience (Fanuc required; Siemens a plus) Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as MasterCam, Siemens NX, or similar platforms Strong understanding of parametric programming (Fanuc Macro B, Siemens Parametric, etc.) Familiarity with GD&T, SPC, CMM tools, and interpreting complex engineering drawings Experience across diverse materials - including aluminum, titanium, PEEK, and stainless A background in high-precision environments: aerospace, medical, or automotive preferred Vocational or associate-level training in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent experience Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - able to thrive in a customer-facing role Why This Role?
