Job Title: Senior Product Manager (Digital Product Management)
Location: Austin, TX (3-days hybrid onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Type: Full-Time, Contract
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Product Manager will:
Become a subject matter expert in retirement distribution and RMDs. Contribute to the product development process across discovery, delivery, and measurement Drive product discovery and business analysis activities, including translating client needs into detailed requirements. Prepare essential documentation such as Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), process maps, and use case models. Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (Business, UX Design, UX Research, Engineering, Data/Analytics, and Digital Product) to collaborate on product development to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our client base. Leverage research and data to gain valuable user insights, inform product decisions, and identify opportunities for future enhancements. Act as a versatile team member, contributing to various aspects of the product development process, from discovery and strategy to delivery and measurement. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively navigate complex challenges, and consistently deliver results. Own the product backlog, fulfill the product owner role in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and product demonstrations. Work with technical counterparts to define product release requirements and investigate production issues as they arise. Also, may work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy and provide relevant and concise updates to executive management teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
Product Management: Strong product strategy and business analysis skills, with a proven track record of capturing clean requirements, enabling the delivery of successful digital products. Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to synthesize and process data, leverage user research and data-driven measurement techniques, and use data to inform product decisions. Collaboration and Communication: Effective relationship-building skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally, and strong communication skills to articulate ideas and present product prototypes. Client Focus: Passion for digital innovation, commitment to superb client experience, and experience with client journeys and digital user experience. Agile Development: Experience working in cross-functional scrum teams, prioritizing backlogs, defining requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Technical Proficiency: Experience with digital product development, including understanding how digital products work and how they integrate into our client's ecosystem.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Financial Services Background: Understanding of financial services regulations, specifically around Retirement. Experimentation: Experience with experiment-driven product development, developing and testing hypotheses, and quickly learning from data. Technical Skills: Experience with SQL, writing user stories in Gherkin language, and working in a regulated environment with legal and compliance considerations. Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, Splunk, Optimizely and A/B Testing. MABL is a plus.
