We are seeking an
experienced Software Developer (SAP ABAP)
who will collaborate closely with our client's business analysts and technical leads to design, develop, and optimize SAP solutions. You will be responsible for end-to-end development activities, from gathering requirements to performing code reviews and ensuring the final product meets business needs. Staying current with technology trends, refining data models, and engaging in thorough documentation and knowledge sharing are key aspects of this position. As part of a

Requirement Analysis & Planning:
Participate in discussions with business teams and functional teams to capture new change requests and translate them into technical specifications. Work with project leads to plan and schedule detailed design and development activities.
ABAP Development & Integration:
Develop programs using
ABAP (Object-Oriented Programming)
for SAP modules (Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash). Utilize
Classic Dialog Programming, WebDynpro for ABAP, APIs, BAPIs, Data Dictionary, ALV, EDI/IDOCs, Proxies, Workflow, Adobe Forms,
and
BDC/Call Transaction . Implement enhancements using
User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Spots
as needed.
Code Review & Quality Assurance:
Conduct or participate in
code reviews , ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards. Maintain thorough
documentation , including design specifications. Continuously
streamline processes
to maximize performance and improve software quality.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Meet with internal customers to diagnose, resolve, or escalate issues. Provide solutions for incidents and change requests, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Offer clear communication regarding resolutions, timelines, and requirements.
Collaboration & Continuous Learning:
Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with team members, business analysts, customers, and vendors. Stay up-to-date
with industry trends, emerging technologies, and SAP enhancements. Share knowledge and mentor junior developers or cross-functional team members when needed.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
At least
5 years
of progressive professional experience in software development. Proven experience gathering requirements, mapping business needs to technical solutions, and addressing complex Development, Incident, and Change Requests. Demonstrated
ABAP
skills (Object-Oriented Programming) across SAP functional areas—P2P, R2R, OTC. Familiarity with
Classic Dialog Programming, OO Programming, WebDynpro, APIs, BAPIs, ALV, EDI/IDOCs, Proxies, Workflow, Adobe Forms, BDC/Call Transaction, User Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Spots .
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in a
fast-paced
environment. Ability to
collaborate
effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Commitment to
continuous improvement
and interest in learning new techniques, tools, and approaches.
