If you're interested in changing healthcare for seniors, join us!The RoleThe Clinical Director (MD/DO) at Geriatric Specialty Care combines clinical excellence with inspiring leadership, balancing direct patient care (50%) with provider management and supervision (50%) responsibilities. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced physician to deliver exceptional care to seniors while developing and leading a talented team of healthcare providers in our innovative in-home care model.Clinical Responsibilities (50% of Time)Establish meaningful patient relationships through comprehensive Welcome Visits and develop personalized Care Plans covering goals, diagnoses, medications, and advanced care planning.Ensure timely completion of Annual Wellness Visits focused on preventive care and comprehensive documentation.Provide seamless clinical coverage during provider absences, maintaining continuity of care.Conduct patient assessments, medication management, and follow-up care with a focus on geriatric-specific needs.Respond promptly to urgent medical and behavioral health concerns to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.Conduct post-discharge visits for patients transitioning from acute or skilled nursing facilities.Adapt workflows to accommodate urgent care needs while maintaining quality preventive services.Leadership Responsibilities (50% of Time)Lead and develop a team of 6-8 healthcare providers through regular performance reviews, mentorship, and professional developmentEnsure providers meet key metrics, including patient visit targets, documentation timeliness, and care gap closuresOptimize provider schedules and panel assignmentsDrive community growth by attending pipeline meetings, leading implementation kickoffs, and building relationships with senior living facility staff.Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners, addressing concerns promptly and fostering collaborative relationships.NP/PA SupervisionServe as the designated supervising physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in full compliance with state regulations and organizational protocolsDeliver expert clinical consultation to primary care providers, ensuring delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered careMaintain continuous accessibility via telecommunication for immediate clinical consultations and decision supportOrchestrate dynamic weekly case conferences to address complex clinical presentations and innovative treatment strategiesSpearhead monthly interdisciplinary collaborative rounds focused on high-acuity patients, fostering knowledge exchange and comprehensive care coordinationConduct quarterly in-person clinical shadowing sessions, providing targeted mentorship and professional development opportunitiesExecute systematic chart audits to ensure clinical excellence, documentation integrity, and adherence to best practicesWhat We're Looking ForMD or DO with an active, unencumbered Nevada medical license (or eligibility to obtain)Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Specialization in Geriatrics is considered a significant advantageValid DEA Certificate and Nevada Controlled Substance LicenseActive Medicare status without exclusions or sanctionsMinimum of TWO years as a practicing physicianPreferred minimum of one year collaborating with Advanced Practice PractitionersDemonstrated expertise in geriatric healthcare settings and chronic disease managementProven leadership experience mentoring healthcare professionalsExceptional clinical assessment skills with the ability to develop comprehensive care plansOutstanding communication abilities for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teamsProficiency with electronic health record systems and digital documentationDemonstrated ability to work autonomously in fast-paced healthcare environmentsWillingness to obtain additional state licenses for collaborative opportunities as neededBenefits Tailored for You and Your FamilyQuarterly performance bonuses to reward your contributionsComprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance for you and your dependentsFlexible spending accounts for health and dependent care expenses401(k) retirement plan to help secure your financial futurePTO and Sick Leave6 weeks of paid parental leave for growing familiesTravel support with mileage reimbursement for community visitsCompany-issued iPhone for seamless communicationMonthly wellness allowance to support your physical and mental healthProfessional development funding to advance your clinical expertise and career goalsRobust clinical support: dedicated RNs and Care Coordinators handle operational tasks, allowing you to focus on patient careTeam building through regular social events and offsitesTravel is required for this role.
