We currently have an opening on the LJA Survey team as a Survey Technician II.
General Responsibilities: Responsible for reducing field data to coordinate geometry within the office Researches and Organizes deed and right-of-way map data in preparation for drafting Prepares metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes Preferred Education/Licenses:
Level II Certified Survey Technician certification Required Experience:
6 years experience in the industry CADD experience is required and TxDOT experience is a plus Experience with Trimble Business Center Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Strong communication skills both oral and written Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external clients
Physical Requirements:
Sit for extended periods of time working on computer
