Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree a plus; 3-5+ years of experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Manager role with a strong focus on data-intensive products or initiatives.

Job Description : This pivotal role will be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be a key partner to our Engineering team, focusing on gathering, analyzing, and documenting data requirements for critical use cases, particularly in the realm of development underwriting. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our predictive capabilities, optimizing investment strategies, and unlocking deeper insights from our extensive datasets. Responsibilities :

Data Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Development, Finance, Acquisitions, Market Research) to understand their data needs, challenges, and desired outcomes related to development underwriting and other strategic initiatives. Translate complex business problems into clear, concise, and actionable data requirements for the Engineering team. Conduct in-depth analysis of existing data sources, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for enrichment. Document detailed data specifications, including data definitions, data flows, business rules, and validation criteria.

Data Use Case Development:

Champion the development of new data-driven products and features that enhance our underwriting models, market analysis capabilities, and overall decision-making processes. Define success metrics and KPIs for data products, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Prioritize data-related initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and strategic impact.

Data Relationship Understanding & Insight Generation:

Deeply understand the relationships between various data entities within our ecosystem (e.g., property characteristics, market demographics, financial metrics, construction costs). Proactively identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data that can lead to valuable business insights. Work with Engineering to ensure data models accurately reflect business logic and facilitate efficient querying and analysis. Develop and maintain documentation of our data landscape, including data dictionaries and conceptual data models.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:

Act as the primary liaison between business users and the Engineering team for all data-related projects. Communicate data-driven insights and project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present findings, and gain consensus.

Product Lifecycle Management (for Data Products):

Participate in the full product lifecycle for data-centric features, from ideation to deployment and post-launch optimization. Support testing and validation of data solutions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Monitor the performance of data products and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree a plus. 3-5+ years of experience in a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Manager role with a strong focus on data-intensive products or initiatives. Demonstrable experience gathering and documenting data requirements for complex systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis is highly preferred. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Familiarity with real estate development processes, particularly development underwriting, is a significant advantage. Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proactive, curious, and a strong problem-solver with a meticulous attention to detail.
