Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Azure Architect
for a 6-month remote contract to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure and Office 365 solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in
cloud architecture, security, governance , and
compliance , with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement advanced features of
Microsoft Office 365
and
Azure AD Premium , focusing on
security, compliance, and governance . Drive cloud architecture discussions and lead decision-making around
scalability, performance, high availability, and disaster recovery (HA/DR) . Configure and manage
customer Azure and/or AWS cloud environments , ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Evaluate and resolve complex configuration and deployment issues in
development, test, and production
environments. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to implement best practices around
identity, access management, and cloud compliance . Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience:
7+ years of experience in
cloud architecture
with strong emphasis on
Azure
and
Office 365
ecosystems. Expertise in
Azure AD Premium , including
conditional access, identity protection, and governance features . Experience configuring and managing
Azure and/or AWS cloud
platforms. Solid understanding of
cloud security frameworks, data protection , and
compliance regulations
(e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Proven ability to
analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve
configuration and integration issues in cloud environments. Preferred Qualifications:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
or equivalent certification. Strong scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, Terraform). Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments. Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies.
