Job Summary

The Cloud AWS Engineer - II serves as a technical operations expert responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based IT solutions.

This role focuses on building, maintaining, and operationalizing infrastructure, security services, and system components within commercial or government cloud environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.

The position requires advanced-level work under minimal supervision and does not include direct reports.

Key Responsibilities Design and support cloud-based infrastructure and services using AWS. Identify and resolve root causes of issues, focusing on problem categories rather than isolated incidents. Implement automation using tools such as Docker, Python, Bash, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines. Conduct comprehensive problem analysis to ensure effective solutions. Promote and maintain a DevOps culture, enabling development teams to be self-sufficient. Perform code reviews for pipeline code, Docker, Python, and Bash. Optimize cloud usage and spending through automation and FinOps practices. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 6+ years for Experienced level or 8+ years for Senior level). Proficiency in Git and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with Linux/UNIX systems. Strong coding skills in Terraform. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. Familiarity with CI/CD automation workflows, preferably GitLab. Experience with containerized systems. Understanding of REST APIs and web service solutions. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and develop innovative solutions. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing and implementing automation tools and processes for cloud optimization. Exposure to DevOps practices and culture-building initiatives.
