Our Client, a Global Insurance Company, is seeking a Product Owner in their Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location.
Responsibilities:
Product Leadership & Strategy
Own and manage the product backlog for the Data & BI scrum team, continuously refining features and user stories. Translate high-level business vision and reporting needs into concrete product roadmaps, epics, and user stories. Define clear acceptance criteria to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. Communicate effectively-strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, BI creators, report consumers, and architects to elicit, document, and validate data and reporting requirements. Lead discussions to understand analytics needs, explore technical solutions, and prioritize based on business value. Map reporting and data use cases to existing architectural solutions. Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and PI planning. Collaborate with developers, QA, and Scrum Master to ensure delivery clarity and continuous improvement. Review data products for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with acceptance criteria. Provide updates to stakeholders on progress, challenges, and alignment to business objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations related to data products or backlog prioritization. Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner. Demonstrated experience in Big Data projects within the financial or insurance industry. Strong technical acumen in data product and BI solution delivery. Deep understanding of data modeling (e.g., star schema, normalized/denormalized models). Hands-on experience with BI and data wrangling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Proficient in SQL, Python, and stored procedures. Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud data platforms, particularly: AWS Redshift Tableau AWS SageMaker (Power BI experience is a plus) Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Insurance domain knowledge preferred (Disability, FMLA, Life products). Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large, matrixed environments. Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control in data/BI environments. Personal Attributes

Hourly Pay Range: $60.00/hr to $68.00/hr
