Job Title: Project Manager I (Transmission Projects - Hybrid)
Location:
Plainfield, IN (Hybrid - must live within reasonable commuting distance) Pay Rate:
$60-$65/hour (W2) Duration:
2-Year Contract Schedule:
Hybrid; 20% local travel required (personal vehicle use)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support multiple White or Green I-level transmission utility projects. This hybrid role requires a candidate with strong project management fundamentals, ideally within the utility or transmission sector.
Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple small to mid-sized transmission-related projects Interface with stakeholders across multiple departments and leadership levels Monitor project risk, cost, schedule, and quality metrics Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field construction teams Ensure compliance with project management best practices and internal standards Required Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience Associate degree or higher Strong knowledge of project management principles Proficient in critical thinking, decision-making, and risk management Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher Utility project management experience, particularly in transmission PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification Proficiency in scheduling/cost control tools Familiarity with construction management and utility regulations Professional Engineer (PE) license or CMII certifications a plus Additional Notes:
20% travel using personal vehicle (on-site and off-site travel to project sites) Onsite presence required following onboarding period Applicants with prior regulatory involvement with *** or affiliates should disclose relevant details per compliance requirements
