This Project Manager role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of commercial construction projects across the New Haven area, ranging from interior renovations to multi-million-dollar ground-up builds. You'll lead budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and client communication to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery. Client Details A well-established general contractor with a strong regional presence in Connecticut, known for delivering commercial projects in healthcare, higher education, life sciences, and corporate interiors. The firm is known for its team-oriented culture, long-standing repeat clients, and a hands-on leadership team that provides strong operational support while empowering PMs to lead. Description Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout

Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and consultants

Maintain clear communication with clients, architects, and internal teams

Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings

Review change orders, pay applications, and RFI/submittal processes

Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and safety protocols are up to standard

Mentor assistant project managers or project engineers as needed

Profile 5-10 years of project management experience in

commercial construction , including interior fit-outs and/or ground-up

Strong knowledge of construction documentation, scheduling, cost control, and permitting

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and drive accountability on-site

Comfortable using Procore, MS Project, or similar construction management tools

Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and proactive under pressure
